BinaryTranslatorTool is provided free and as-is for general informational use.

The converter on this site implements standard ASCII, the character set defined in 1963 and still identical to the first 128 code points of Unicode today. Text you type in maps to that standard exactly, and the arithmetic behind it (character code to base 2, padded to 8 bits) is fixed, not a matter of interpretation. That said, this is a free utility with no warranty attached: if you are decoding something that matters, like a password recovery string or a graded assignment, check the result against a second method before you rely on it.

The guides and the ASCII reference table are maintained by Marcus Vance under editorial oversight described on the editorial standards page; they are informational, not professional advice of any kind. We may revise the tool, the guides, the reference data, or these terms as the site evolves. Using the site after a change means you accept the current version. Last updated July 2, 2026.
